Tarte’s Surfer Curl Mascara promises to give you “beach-babe waves” with its “unique blend of sea and mineral-rich surfactants.” But does it deliver?

I put the mascara to the test to find out.

First, I curled my lashes with an eyelash curler.

Then, I applied two coats of Tarte Surfer Curl mascara.

The results? Nice, defined lashes with a bit of extra curl.

Nothing dramatic, but definitely a noticeable difference.

Overall, I was pleased with the Tarte Surfer Curl Mascara and would recommend it to anyone looking for a subtle lash lift.

My experience

I have never had an issue with finding mascaras that work for my sensitive eyes and Tarte’s Surfer Curl Mascara is one of my goto mascara’s. I put it on this morning and no irritation occurred throughout the day.

I was a little worried that the curling brush would irritate my eyes but it didn’t!

The Tarte mascara also held up my curls all day without making my lashes feel crunchy. I definitely recommend this product to anyone with sensitive eyes who is looking for a new mascara!

The bottom line

Tarte’s Surfer Curl Mascara is one of the good mascaras I’ve tried. It gives my lashes extra curl, volume, and length without being overly heavy or clumpy.

I have sensitive eyes and this mascara doesn’t irritate them at all. It’s also resistant to smudging and flaking, even in hot, humid weather.

The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey, but the bottom line is that it’s worth every penny.

All in all, I was happy with the Tarte Surfer Curl Mascara. It did lengthen my lashes and give them some curl. I would recommend this mascara to someone who is looking for a drugstore option that gives length and curl without being too expensive.
