Step 1: Start with clean, dry lashes. If you have any residual makeup from the night before, make sure to remove it completely before applying the mascara.

Step 2: Place the applicator at the base of your upper lashes and wiggle back and forth as you move the brush up toward the tips of your lashes.

Step 3: Repeat until you’re happy with the results. I usually do 2-3 coats.

Step 4: For lower lashes, I like to use a smaller brush (L’Oreal makes a great one specifically for lower lashes) and just lightly sweep the mascara over them. You don’t want to go too heavy on lower lashes or they can start to look a bit spidery.
