Does L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara Smudge?
The Truth About L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara
Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve always dreamed of having long, voluminous lashes like the ones I see in magazines and on TV.
So when I turned 18 and was finally able to purchase my own makeup, the first item on my list was a good mascara.
After doing some research, I decided to try out L’Oreal’s Telescopic Mascara.
Since then, I’ve been asked countless times if this mascara smudges. And until now, I haven’t given a straight answer because I honestly didn’t know.
But after months of trial and error (and more than a few raccoon eyes), I can finally give you a definite answer: yes, this mascara does smudge—but only if you don’t use it correctly.
How to Use L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara without Smudging
Despite what the ads may say, no mascara is completely waterproof or smudge-proof.
That being said, there are definitely some mascaras that are better at holding up against water and sweat than others—L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara included.
If you want to avoid smudging, there are a few things you need to do:
First, make sure your lashes are clean and free of any oil or dirt before applying the mascara. If your lashes are oily or dirty, the mascara will have a difficult time clinging to them—which means it’s more likely to transfer onto your skin when you blink or rub your eyes.
Second, apply a thin layer of mascara to your lashes, starting from the base and working your way up.
If you apply too much product at once, it will be more likely to clump and flake throughout the day.
Finally, let the mascara dry completely before moving on to the next step in your makeup routine.
If you try to put on eyeshadow or eyeliner while your lashes are still wet, you run the risk of smudging everything—mascara included.
Your Result May Vary
L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara is one of my all-time favorite mascaras because it really does give your lashes longer, fuller appearance.
However, like all mascaras, it is not immune to smudging—especially if you don’t use it correctly.
By following the tips above, you can help ensure that your mascara stays put all day long—no raccoon eyes here!
